How we see children
We help young children learn from playing, solving problems, questioning, and experimenting. Play is not a break from learning; it is how learning happens. Teachers use play and other instructional techniques to support each child's development. Children here are curious, busy, and taken seriously. Our building has been part of the community since 1997, and our staff is honored to keep serving local families.
Rooms are set up so children can reach what they need and choose what to do next. Low shelves hold blocks, books, puzzles, and art supplies. Tables sit at child height for small-group work and snack. The day keeps a steady rhythm: active play, quiet play, meals, rest, and outdoor time. Teachers move among the children, asking questions and adding ideas when play stalls.
A visitor notices children talking through problems instead of being handed answers. Teachers kneel to a child's eye level and wait for a reply. Work is displayed at child height, not above adult heads. The room stays calm but not silent, because busy children make noise. Teachers with training in child development plan these spaces and pay attention to how each child uses them.
What a day looks like
Mornings start with a teacher greeting your child by name. Children put their things away, wash hands, and settle into a quiet table activity while everyone arrives. Full-time teachers are here from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, so early drop-off is calm rather than rushed. A child who needs a few minutes to warm up gets them before the day picks up speed.
The middle of the day is the busiest stretch. Children play, work in small groups, eat, rest, and go outside. Meals and snacks are served family style where children pass items and talk with friends. Rest time gives bodies a pause, and quiet activities are ready for children who wake early. Outdoor time happens most days, so dress your child for the weather.
Afternoon brings rest or quiet play, then snack and free choice until pickup. Teachers share what your child did, what they ate, and how they napped. If something happened during the day, you hear it from a teacher, not from your child at bedtime. Questions about your child's hours can be asked at the front desk.
How we work with families
At pickup, teachers tell you what your child actually did that day. Our staff has training in child development and early childhood education, which supports richer language and positive communication with families. If you have a question about your child's day or progress, ask your teacher directly. Staff are honored to keep working with the surrounding community.
New children settle in at their own pace. Teachers learn your child's routines, comfort items, and signals, and they stay in close contact with you during those first weeks. Come see the classroom your child would join. You will meet the teachers who run it and watch the room in action.

Complete the enrollment forms and plan a first week that suits your child's routine. We will help you pick the best start.

What should my child bring on the first day?
Most families pack a change of clothes, a comfort item, and anything needed for rest or outdoor time. Label everything with your child's name. Ask us for a full list before the first day.
