Call (678) 825-2979 or email director_sn@ivywoodacademy.com. Tell us your child's age and the days you need. We are now enrolling. From there, you can pre-register with the buttons below or ask us to schedule a tour. We earned three stars in Georgia's Quality Rated program.

Tour the room
Come walk through the classroom your child would join and meet the teachers who run it. You can ask how the room is set up, how the day is paced, and how teachers handle the first weeks. You will leave knowing whether this feels like the right fit.

Enroll and settle in
Finish your enrollment forms and plan a first week that suits your child's routine. We earned three stars in Georgia's Quality Rated program by demonstrating a commitment to meet standards that exceed state health and safety requirements, meet numerous quality benchmarks, and score high on the independent observation. Ask us what the first days will look like for your child.
What to have ready
Families usually bring enrollment forms, a current health form and immunization record, emergency contacts, and the names of everyone allowed to pick up their child. Your doctor's office can send the health paperwork. We can tell you exactly what is needed for your child.
Pack a full change of clothes in case of spills or puddles, outdoor gear for the season, nap items if your child rests with a blanket or small pillow, and one comfort object from home. Label everything with your child's name. A labelled water bottle helps too.
Before the first day, agree on who drops off and who picks up. Tell us how you want to hear about the day, and who is allowed to collect your child. We will match your child's usual nap and meal times where we can.
The first weeks
First days often start shorter and build up as your child finds their footing. A familiar object from home can make the cubby and the cot feel like theirs. A teacher greets your child by name at the door. You can call mid-morning to check in.
At pickup, teachers tell you how your child ate and slept, what they played, and how they settled. Ask anything you want to know. Some children settle in a few days, others take a few weeks. We will tell you what we see.

Can we visit before deciding?
A tour lets you walk the rooms, see the children at play, and ask your questions in person, so you can decide whether the days here fit your family. Your child comes along and joins the classroom while you look around.
What should my child bring on the first day?

What does a typical day include?
A day usually starts at arrival and moves into play and learning, with meals, rest, and outdoor time woven in. Our full-time teachers are here from 6:30AM to 6:00PM. Teachers help children learn from playing, solving problems, questioning, and experimenting. Pickup closes the day.
How will I know how my child is doing?
Most parents hear about the day at pickup, when they ask a teacher how things went. You can ask the director or your child's teacher for details on eating, resting, playing, and getting along with other children. You can also set a regular time to check in if pickup is rushed.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on your child's age group and which openings we have right now. com and ask what is available for the days you need.
What if there is no place right now?
If we do not have a place for your child's age right now, ask us to let you know when one opens. We can add your child to our list and call you.
What should I ask on the tour?
Worth asking: our hours, how meals work, who can pick up your child, and how the first weeks are handled. Ask how the day is paced and what your child will do. Ask anything about health and safety, too.
